Well, January has ended up being quite a busy month for me! Not only did I start my first official ‘big girl’ job right out of University, I've travelled a bit, and (drum roll) I’ve been working with a lot of wonderful people to bring you some amazing content in the next couple of weeks!
Last weekend I had the opportunity to go exploring and shoot with one of my favourite people, Lisa Hobday. We ventured to a few great spots in Winnipeg, from Assiniboine Park to the Arlington Bridge and back, in an attempt to find the perfect backdrop. I love photoshoots with her because we always end up finding the most abstract and architectural areas of the city. Adventures like this can take you out of your comfort zone and show you a whole new world that was right under your nose. We were particularly fortunate that the weather was on our side, so I got to show off my newest item from Aritzia, the Neelam Coat.
While most of my clothing are basic pieces in solid colours, this coat gives a pop of colour without being too outlandish and makes a perfect statement piece in my wardrobe. If you're closet looks anything like mine, this would be a perfect addition to the family!
I bought this particular colour because I personally love purple, but it comes in a few different colours, all of which are gorgeous (and were recently on sale). How could you go wrong!
The versatility of the coat is probably it’s best feature. It’s warm for chilly spring days, and can be used into the summer, on those cooler nights. My current favourite way to where this item is overtop of a long sleeve (it is still winter after all). Layers, layers, and more layers!
